Innocent Motorist Trapped In Wreckage After Pursuit Suspect Crashes | Los Angeles

10.18.2021 | 11:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – Just before 11:00 PM, LAPD Southwest officers located a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle initially yielded for officers, then the female driver sped away, leading officers on a pursuit. The suspect travelled approximately 1 mile, before crashing into an innocent driver near the intersection of 37th and Grand. The innocent motorist was trapped in the vehicle, and the suspect fled on foot. Firefighters worked to extricate the victim for approximately 5 minutes. The female victim was transported in unknown condition to a nearby trauma center. LAPD officers located the suspect hiding in a nearby residence. The suspect was taken into custody.
