Illegal Off-Roading Crash Starts Large Vegetation Fire

12.06.2020 | 1:53 AM | OTAY MESA – The male owner of a Jeep was illegally off-roading his vehicle on the land just to the south of Donovan State Prison when he crashed.

The crash started a fire in the vegetation and the male driver called 911.

CalFire responded and was able to stop the forward rate of spread at just over 4 acres.

It’s not known how many people were with the Jeep or if anyone was detained for the illegal activity and starting the fire.

The Jeep was destroyed in the fire.
