Illegal Immigrant Rescued From Beach After Panga Washes Ashore | San Diego
11.12.2021 | 2:41 AM | SAN DIEGO – San Diego Fire-Rescue received reports of a person screaming for help along the shoreline of Sunset Cliffs. San Diego Fire-Rescue learned that the person in question was possibly an undocumented migrant that attempted to swim ashore after traveling from a Panga boat. San Diego Fire-Rescue lifeguards were sent in to rescue the man out of the water while U.S Border Patrol agents and the U.S Coast Guard checked for additional persons in the water. Authorities found a 30′ Panga boat with 18 life preservers inside the boat. The male that was rescued was taken to UCSD hospital with hypothermia. U.S Border Patrol and the U.S Coast Guard is actively searching the shoreline for more possible victims. As of 4:58 am, no other persons have been found in the water.
