I.C.E Pursuit Crash Injures Innocent Motorist, Houston, TX

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-29-26 | ~6:30 a.m.

  1. At approximately 6:30 this morning, Harris County Sheriff’s Office units were notified by Montgomery County that federal agents were pursuing a suspect vehicle out of Montgomery County.
  2. The suspect vehicle was traveling on Interstate 45 toward the city.
  3. Around 6:40 a.m., the suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of Veterans Memorial and Fallbrook.
  4. The suspect vehicle crashed into a citizen’s car, flipping that car and resulting in minor injuries.
  5. A passenger in the suspect vehicle refused medical services and went to the hospital on her own.
  6. The suspect fled the vehicle and ran into a wooded area.
  7. Deputies searched the area with a K-9 but lost the scent, and the perimeter was broken.
  8. Federal agents were pursuing the suspect because he had a final removal order through ICE.
  9. An ICE agent injured his arm while attempting to break the driver’s-side window at a different location and was cut by the glass.
  10. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is filing FSRA charges against the suspect for his involvement in the crash.
  11. Federal agents were filing federal charges against the suspect.
  12. The civilians involved in the crash were doing fine.
  13. The suspect remained on the run when the scene was cleared.
