I.C.E Pursuit Crash Injures Innocent Motorist, Houston, TX
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-29-26 | ~6:30 a.m.

DETAILS:
- At approximately 6:30 this morning, Harris County Sheriff’s Office units were notified by Montgomery County that federal agents were pursuing a suspect vehicle out of Montgomery County.
- The suspect vehicle was traveling on Interstate 45 toward the city.
- Around 6:40 a.m., the suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of Veterans Memorial and Fallbrook.
- The suspect vehicle crashed into a citizen’s car, flipping that car and resulting in minor injuries.
- A passenger in the suspect vehicle refused medical services and went to the hospital on her own.
- The suspect fled the vehicle and ran into a wooded area.
- Deputies searched the area with a K-9 but lost the scent, and the perimeter was broken.
- Federal agents were pursuing the suspect because he had a final removal order through ICE.
- An ICE agent injured his arm while attempting to break the driver’s-side window at a different location and was cut by the glass.
- The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is filing FSRA charges against the suspect for his involvement in the crash.
- Federal agents were filing federal charges against the suspect.
- The civilians involved in the crash were doing fine.
- The suspect remained on the run when the scene was cleared.
