I-5 Fatal Motorcycle vs Car

DETAILS:

 

1. A motorcyclist was heading north on the I-5 when for unknown reasons, he was struck by the male driver of a vehicle.
2. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and landed on the freeway, and was not moving.
3. The vehicle continued north.
4. The entire was closed for approx 1 hour for the investigation.
5. CVPD officers helped with the closure and were blocking the northbound on-ramp to the I-5 when a male showed up in a vehicle with heavy front-end damage and wanted to speak with the officers.
6. He is believed to have been the car’s driver involved and is being detained for questioning.
