Hydrant Crash With Officers Trapped in Patrol Car After Hitting Power Line | North Hills

10.09.2022 | 11:21 PM | NORTH HILLS – Authorities responded to a reported traffic accident.

Firefighters arrived to find a solo vehicle into a parked vehicle, a fire hydrant, and a power pole.

Firefighters started treating the driver of the vehicle, as others started to work on shutting down the hydrant.

As firefighters worked on both issues, they had to watch for a power line that was hanging from the damaged pole.

Just as firefighters started shutting down the hydrant, a LAPD patrol Car drove through the scene, wrapping the power line onto the light of the unit.

Firefighters yelled for the officers to stay in the patrol car till DWP arrived at the scene.

Once DWP Arrived the power was shut off to the area and A DWP employee walked over and took the wire off of the vehicle and the officers drove away with no injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
