Hyde Park: Man Fatally Shot After Confronting Vandalism Suspect
11.05.2018 | 10:50 AM | LOS ANGELES – A business owner was shot and killed after confronting a vandalism suspect outside his business, Monday morning.
Police and fire officials responded to the reports of an injury shooting near intersection of Sixth and Slauson avenues shortly before 11:00 AM.
Units arriving on scene found a male victim lying on a sidewalk suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.
Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary reports indicate the victim was shot by a suspected vandal he confronted outside his business. The suspect was described as a male in his mid-30’s armed with a handgun.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division is investigating.
