Hyde Park: Community Outraged After Tekashi69 Visits South L.A. With Bodyguards
08.13.2020 | 12:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – A community is outraged after rapper Tekashi69 came to a mural of Nipsey Hussle to take photos while being protected by armed bodyguards, Thursday afternoon.
A rapper who served time in prison after snitching to receive a lighter sentence arrived in the 5800 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in the Hyde Park area with a group of armed bodyguards around noon.
The rapper took photos and video at the location where a mural for the late Nipsey Hussle is.
Community members were outraged by the rappers actions after he disrespected rappers Pop Smoke and Nipsey Hussle on an Instagram Live video.
Members are also upset that Tekashi69 is trying to exploit the late Nipsey Hussle despite the fact he was killed by a snitch.
The Los Angeles Police Department has increased patrols in the area as a result of the tensions.
