Hyde Park: Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Car

09.22.2019 | 11:49 PM | LOS ANGELES – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a car, late Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a bicyclist near the intersection of 48th Street and Arlington in the Hyde Park area around 11:49 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male bicyclist down in the roadway and a vehicle stopped nearby.

Firefighter paramedics arriving on scene pronounced the bicyclist, later identified as 58-year-old Larry Mitchell of Compton, deceased on scene.

The driver that struck the bicyclist remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Police are investigating the incident as an accident.
