Huntington Beach: Driver Trapped After Rollover Crash

LOCATION: Intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Seapoint Ave.

At or around 11:15 Saturday night, units from the Huntington Beach Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to a rollover crash involving a trapped driver at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Seapoint Avenue in Huntington Beach. Arriving units found a black minivan rolled onto its side and a female driver trapped inside. Firefighters immediately began the process of extricating the driver by way of cutting the roof off of the vehicle. Approximately 25 minutes after arrival, firefighters were able to reach the victim and load her onto a stretcher to be transported to UCI for treatment. The injuries to the driver are unknown at this time. The cause of the crash is also unknown but is being investigated by the HBPD.
