Human Smuggling Pursuit Ends With PIT Maneuver | San Diego

08.30.2022 | 11:00 AM | SAN DIEGO – U.S. Border Patrol Agents observed a male driver of a Chevy Tahoe pick up 3 suspected Undocumented Immigrants in the eastern portion of Otay Mesa. The Agents attempted to stop the suspects and the pursuit began, going westbound on the I-905. A spike strip was deployed and punctured one of the tires of the Tahoe. An Agent then did a “Pit Maneuver” on the suspect’s vehicle and they both crashed at the center diver guardrails. The driver (wearing shorts) and the 3 male immigrants were arrested.
