Human Smuggling Boat Found Breaking Up on the Rocks

LOCATION: 1000 blk of Sunset Cliffs Blvd

DETAILS:

 

1. When the sun rose up this morning, people found a boat breaking up on the rocks along No Surf Beach.
2. SD City Lifeguards were called, and it was determined that the boat was used in a Human Smuggling operation dealing with illegal migrants crossing into the country by sea illegally.
3. The boat was broken in half, and a search of the water was carried out.
4. No one was found, and it’s not known how many migrants were onboard.
5. The U.S. Border Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard were notified.
