Human Smuggling Boat Capsizes Injuring Multiple

DETAILS:
- A human smuggling boat was coming in from the ocean to land on Ocean Beach and hit a small rock jetty.
- The boat flipped and threw many illegal immigrants into the water.
- Up to 16 or more people were in the boat.
- Lifeguards swarmed in for the rescue.
- 2 people were rescued from the jetty, 2-3 people were under the boat.
- 3 people were rescued from the open water.
- All other immigrants swam to shore and then ran away.
- One male was in critical condition with a LUCAS machine doing CPR as he was transported to a hospital.
- The others that were rescued were also taken to a hospital to be checked out.
- At the same time, another boat landed in La Jolla at Scripps Pier with 20 people onboard, and ran after landing the boat on the beach.
