Human Smuggling Boat Capsizes Injuring Multiple

DETAILS:

 

  1. A human smuggling boat was coming in from the ocean to land on Ocean Beach and hit a small rock jetty.
  2. The boat flipped and threw many illegal immigrants into the water.
  3. Up to 16 or more people were in the boat.
  4. Lifeguards swarmed in for the rescue.
  5. 2 people were rescued from the jetty, 2-3 people were under the boat.
  6. 3 people were rescued from the open water.
  7. All other immigrants swam to shore and then ran away.
  8. One male was in critical condition with a LUCAS machine doing CPR as he was transported to a hospital.
  9. The others that were rescued were also taken to a hospital to be checked out.
  10. At the same time, another boat landed in La Jolla at Scripps Pier with 20 people onboard, and ran after landing the boat on the beach.
