DETAILS:
- HPD officers were engaged by a male inside a Chevy Suburban
- Male inside began shooting at officers
- multiple shots fired at HPD officers in the parking lot of the apartment complex
- Officers eventually returned fire striking the male in the drivers seat
- Male pronounced deceased at scene by HFD
- firearm is still inside the drivers side of vehicle, may still be in suspects lap
- Unknown how many officers fired their weapons, radio traffic suggest it was just one, but unconfirmed
