HPD Officer Injured After Rear Ending Citizen

DETAILS:

1. HPD VCD units are investigating a crash involved an HPD patrol unit.
2. The officer was traveling from the westbound Southwest Fwy feeder road to the north Sam Houston Parkway feeder road and collided into the back of a vehicle.
3. The officer was taken by ambulance with minor injuries.
4. The sedan had a total of three occupants. Only the driver was transported by ambulance for minor injuries.
5. The other two passengers did not report any injuries.
6. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
7. The officer was not responding to a call.
