Houston: Two Dead, Seven Injured After Gunfire Breaks Out During Music Video Filming

12.27.2019 | 9:30 PM | HOUSTON – Two people were dead and seven others injured after gunfire broke out during the filming of a music video, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a drive-by shooting with multiple victims down in the 8500 block of Berwyn Drive near Smart Street around 9:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene locate at least nine victims down suffering from injuries related to the shooting.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced two victims deceased on scene and transported seven others to area hospitals for treatment.

Of the seven, at least one was listed in critical condition. The ages of those hospitalized ranges from 17 to 23 years.

The deceased victims were identified as 20-year-old Gonzalo Gonzalez and 22-year-old Jonathan Jimenez.

Initial reports indicate the victims were filming a music video in a park when they were ambushed by multiple suspects who opened fire before fleeing.

No suspect description or motive was immediately available.
