Houston: Teenage Home Invader Stabs Two Missionaries

08.17.2020 | 4:30 AM | HOUSTON – A teenager was arrested after admitting to breaking into a home and stabbing two missionaries as they slept, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a home invasion at an apartment complex located in the 7100 block of Smiling Woods Lane around 4:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene learned that two women had been stabbed by an intruder.

Both victims, reportedly in their early 20s, were missionaries associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The suspect, who was later identified as 17-year-old Jeffrey Ferman of Honduras, fled on foot.

Officers eventually located Ferman and he reportedly admitted to the stabbing attack.

Police say Ferman had been drinking the night of the attack but a motive was still unclear. They added Ferman was apologetic when he confessed.
