Houston: SWAT Responds After Constable Deputy Is Shot
07.07.2020 | 12:03 AM | HOUSTON – A constable deputy was injured by a suspect who was later found dead by a SWAT team, early Tuesday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at the Cranbrook Forest Apartments located in the 13800 block of Ella Boulevard around 12:03 AM.
A constable deputy arrived on scene and contacted the suspect inside an apartment.
During the contact the suspect produced a handgun and shot the deputy in his abdomen.
Deputies returned fire and retreated from the location.
The deputy constable was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
A SWAT team responded to the location and eventually entered the home where they located the suspect deceased from a gunshot wound.
The handgun reportedly used by the suspect was also recovered.
