Houston: Stray Bullet From New Years Gunfire Injures Man

01.01.2019 | 12:30 AM | HOUSTON – A man was hospitalized after being struck by a stray bullet from suspected celebratory gunfire, early New Years day.

Authorities responded to reports of a man shot in the 8400 block of Wilcrest around 12:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene located the adult male inside his apartment with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene ans transported him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Police on scene believe the stray bullet came through the man’s apartment from celebratory gunfire occurring the area as a result of the New Years.
