Houston: Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends In Bayou

11.23.2018 | 3:30 PM | HOUSTON – A woman fleeing police in a stolen vehicle crashed into bayou before being taken into custody, Friday evening.

Deputies on patrol spotted a stolen vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to comply and instead fled, prompting a pursuit.

During the pursuit, the driver of the stolen vehicle turned down a dead-end road before crashing into a bayou.

The female driver attempted to flee the vehicle but as quickly taken into custody within 100 feet of the crash.

Deputies placed the driver under arrest. She is expected to face a number of charges.
