Houston: Sedan Crushed In Fatal Crash, DWI Suspect Arrested
08.07.2020 | 11:30 PM | HOUSTON – A fatal rear-end crash left a driver dead in their crushed sedan and officers are expected to arrest the driver that caused the crash on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.
Authorities responded to the crash involving three vehicles on the northbound 45 “Gulf” Freeway just north of Howard around 11:30 PM, late Friday night.
When units arrived on scene they located a black pickup truck that had rear-ended a white Nissan sedan causing it to be crushed. Another vehicle, a blue Chevrolet was also damaged in the wreck.
First responders pronounced the driver of the Nissan deceased on scene.
Three other victims were treated and transported from the scene to area hospitals in unknown condition.
Initial reports indicate that the driver of the black pickup truck was intoxicated and rear-ended the Nissan at freeway speeds.
Police will be arresting the driver and charging him with intoxication manslaughter once he is medically fit to be booked.
