Houston: Robbery Victim Opens Fire On Robbery Suspect, Two Shot

02.23.2019 | 8:39 PM | HOUSTON – Police are investigating after two men were shot in what is described as a robbery attempt, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to the reported shooting at an apartment complex in the 70 block of East Edgebrook around 8:39 PM.

Units arriving on scene discovered two males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were treated on scene before being transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.

Initial reports indicate the a male was walking to his car with his girlfriend when three male blacks approached them and pulled out a handgun.

The suspects forced the victim back to his apartment in a robbery attempt when the victim retrieved a handgun from his apartment and opened fire.

A gun battle ensued and both one suspect and the victim were struck by gunfire.

Officers cordoned off the area while they investigate the shooting.
