Houston: Retired Deputy Killed By Son In Domestic Shooting

11.14.2018 | 5:30 AM | HOUSTON – A retired deputy sheriff of 30 years was killed at home by his son during a domestic dispute, Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting stemming from a domestic dispute in the 3400 block of Meadowhill Court around 5:30 AM.

Units arriving to the scene located a man down suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics soon pronounced the male deceased.

The victim’s female spouse and their male son remained on scene and were detained but later released.

Initial reports indicate the male, who was later identified by authorities as a retired 30-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, was killed by his son.

The son reportedly intervened in a physical dispute involving the father and mother prior grabbing a firearm and shooting multiple times.

Detectives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were on scene investigating.
