Houston: Raging Fire Injures Firefighter

12.30.2018 | 5:21 AM | HOUSTON – A massive fire burned through a home and injured a firefighter, Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire near the intersection of Chasewood and Steeple Chase roads around 5:21 AM.

Crews arriving on scene found heavy fire that had engulfed a home and began efforts to extinguish the flames.

At least four residents made it out safely but one firefighter was injured while attacking the flames.

The injured firefighter was treated on scene and transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

After 30 minutes firefighters had control of the massive fire.

Investigators were responding to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
