Houston Police Respond to Critical Shooting Incident on Antoine Street

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1150am 7-14-24
LOCATION:  5630 Antoine
AREA/CITY:  Houston
DETAILS:

1. Per Jody Silwa, HPD PIO, officers responded to reports of a shooting in progress
2. officers arrived and located a male with multiple gunshot wounds
3. The male was transported to a nearby trauma center, where he remains in critical condition
4. another male was taken into custody at the scene
5. prelim info- both males appeared to get into an altercation and ultimately shot at each other.
6. The uninjured male made claims that he had an explosive device inside his vehicle, and Bomb Quad responded, clearing the car.
7. There is a machete and a shotgun at the crime scene
