1. HPD responded to a report of a man assaulting an elderly couple
2. Officers arrived and were advised that the suspect was armed with a gun
3. Officers ordered the suspect to drop the weapon
4. Shots were fired by the suspect striking one officer
5. Officers reportedly did not return fire
