Houston Police Officer Injured In Pursuit Crash

DETAILS:
- HPD tactical officers were watching suspects believed to be involved in a shooting.
- Officers started to track the vehicle. Before officers attempted to stop the vehicle, some of the occupants fled on foot.
- The vehicle did not yield to officers and a pursuit ensued.
- Officers attempted a PIT Maneuver which disabled the suspects vehicle but the officers crashed into a tree.
- Officers were able to take the driver into custody, who they believe is one of the shooting suspects.
- One of the officers suffered neck injuries and was transported by ambulance but he will be okay.
