Houston: Police End High-Speed Pursuit With Spike Strip
09.06.2019 | 1:43 AM | HOUSTON – One man was facing charges of felony evading after leading police on a high-speed pursuit around the I-610 Freeway loop, early Friday morning.
Authorities attempted to stop a vehicle at 290 and West 34th for traffic violations around 1:43 AM.
The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to officers, prompting a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds of 100 MPH.
Officers utilized a spike strip to pierce the suspect’s tires causing him to come to a stop at a gas station in the 10300 block of East Freeway.
The man was taken into custody without incident and was facing charges including felony evading and probation violations.
