Houston Police Car Struck While Doing Traffic Control

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11-30-23 / 1:36 am
LOCATION: 5200 North Freeway (@ E. Burress St.)
CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. A HPD unit stopped behind a truck to provide traffic control and assist them in changing a tire on the northbound feeder road of the North Freeway.
2. A white SUV struck the back of the HPD patrol vehicle.
3. No one was inside of the HPD patrol vehicle or the truck.
4. The driver of the white SUV was transported by ambulance for minor injuries.
5. It is still under investigation to determine if the driver of the white SUV was intoxicated.
6. No one else was injured.
