Houston Police Arrest Barricaded Man With A Rifle

DETAILS:
- Call was originally that a suspect had a gun and was threatening someone else who owed money to each other.
- When officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot and thought he fled into the 1100 building.
- At that time, another lady popped out of another apartment and said he ran into that apartment with a rifle and threatened her as well.
- Officers set up a perimeter and someone came out of that apartment and said the suspect was not in there.
- Officers contacted D.A. to get permission when another witness said he was in his apartment in the 1200 building.
- Officers determined that the suspect was in there and SWAT started to talk to him to come out.
- The suspect broke through sheetrock in one apartment into another.
- The suspect came out the other door of another apartment, acted like he locked the door, and tried to leave the scene.
- Officers stopped him and he started to act up and they were able to ID him as the suspect.
- Suspect was arrested on a parole warrant and has also threatened the female he was living with numerous time which may result in more charges as well as breaking into other apartments.
- No injuries reported.
- SWAT is checking the apartments with weapons, and he is known to have weapons.
