Houston PD Shoot Suspect After Carjacking, Killing Man, & Stabbing Another | Houston

04.05.2022 | 3:30 AM | HOUSTON – Houston police said the suspect carjacked a construction worker who was watching the site overnight. The construction worker started walking towards the office when the suspect allegedly ran him over and then crashed into the building. He was pronounced deceased at scene by HFD. A concierge ran into an office to hide from the suspect, police said. The suspect backed up and drove the truck into that office in an attempt to hit the concierge, but he was not hurt. The building manager went to confront the carjacking suspect and was stabbed in the back. He is expected to survive. HPD Central officers confronted the suspect and told him repeatedly to drop the knife. The suspect charged at them instead and they opened fire on him, striking him twice. Officers are believed to have deployed a taser on the suspect as well. He was taken into custody and transported by HFD to a local trauma center.
