05.29.2020 | 10:30 PM | HOUSTON – Chaotic protests in downtown ended with nearly 200 people including vandals and looters being arrested, Friday night.
Over a thousand individuals gathered in downtown Houston to protest the death of George Floyd and police brutality around 10:30 PM.
The protests turned violent as officers were attacked and individuals began vandalizing and looting businesses.
Four police officers were injured, eight police vehicles were damaged, and over 200 people were arrested during the night of unrest.
All of the injured officers were expected to quickly recover.
