Houston: Off-Duty Firefighter Arrested for DUI After Crash
11.03.2018 | 2:30 AM | HOUSTON – An off-duty Houston firefighter was under arrest on suspicion of DUI after a solo crash, early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to reports of traffic collision involving a light pole on the Katy Freeway early Saturday morning. Units arriving on scene found the solo crash and confirmed there was no injuries.
Suspecting the driver may be under the influence, officers transported the driver to a nearby Chevron gas station located in the 6600 block of Washington.
During the course of the investigation it was determined the driver is an off-duty Houston Fire Department firefighter.
The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
