Houston: Man Shot While Taking Out His Trash

12.04.2018 | 11:30 PM | HOUSTON – A man was shot in the leg while taking the trash out in his apartment complex during what may have been a botched robbery attempt, Tuesday night.

Deputies responded to the reported shooting at an apartment complex located in the 10100 block of Bammel around 11:30 PM.

Authorities arriving on scene found a man down suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper leg.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital.

Initial reports indicate that two armed men rushed the victim while he was taking his trash to a nearby dumpster. The victim fled the men towards his apartment when one of the men opened fire, striking the victim.

Both suspects then fled the area in a vehicle.

Deputies were continuing to investigate but believe the man was the target of a robbery attempt.
