Houston: Man Rescued After Falling Into Uncovered Manhole

12.11.2018 | 1:30 AM | HOUSTON – A man had to be rescued after falling and becoming stuck in an uncovered manhole, Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a man who had become stuck down a manhole behind a truck stop in the 200 block of Patton around 1:30 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a man who was reportedly walking near the rear of a truck stop when he fell into an uncovered manhole.

Firefighters used a rope system to extricate the male victim from the manhole before transporting him to an area hospital for evaluation.

Witnesses reported the man was walking when he suddenly fell down the hole which was uncovered.

Firefighters secured the manhole to prevent any further incidents before clearing the scene.
