Houston: Man Dies After Slamming Into Semi-Truck In Heavy Fog

12.18.2018 | 2:30 AM | HOUSTON – A man was dead after he slammed into the rear of a semi-truck in heavy fog, Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a crash involving a semi-truck on the westbound Beltway 8 feeder at TC Jester around 2:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene found a vehicle that had apparently slammed into the rear of a semi-truck that was stopped at a red light.

Two occupants inside the vehicle that struck the semi-truck had to be cut free from the wreckage and transported to an area hospital.

At least one of the victims, described only as a male, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The westbound feeder road was closed while authorities investigated the crash.

Fog is believed to have played a factor in the collision.
