Houston: Groom Airlifted After Being Gunned Down On Wedding Day

08.20.2020 | 11:26 PM | HOUSTON – A groom was airlifted to a hospital after being gunned down on his wedding day, late Thursday night.

Authorities first responded to reports of a shooting in the 16800 block of Anna Green Street around 11:26 PM but were unable to locate a victim.

The victim, a groom from a wedding party, was later located at a residence across the street from where the shooting took place.

Firefighter paramedics airlifted the man to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

The shooting took place on the man’s wedding day at what was described as a wedding party being hosted at the home.

Three individuals were detained inside the home where the shooting took place but it was unclear if they were suspects in the shooting.

Witnesses, including the bride, were not cooperating according to law enforcement. An investigation is ongoing.
