Houston: Firefighters Rescue Man From Massive House Fire
11.28.2018 | 2:31 AM | HOUSTON – Firefighters rescued a man from a roaring house fire that quickly spread, early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in the 5900 block of Indigo Street shortly after 2:30 AM.
Crews arriving on scene found a single story home with heavy smoke and fire showing.
A neighbor quickly reported that a man might be trapped inside, prompting firefighters to initiate search and rescue efforts.
Firefighters entering into the engulfed home found the man and quickly rescued him while other crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
Paramedics performed life-saving measures, treating the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital. Officials reported the man was seriously injured but alive.
Firefighters were continued to douse flames from the fire that spread to an adjacent home for more than an hour.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
