Houston Firefighters Battle Intense Blaze at Crandon Street Residence

DETAILS:
- HFD responded to reports of a fire
- Arriving companies located a single-story residence with heavy fire showing
- it took firefighters about 10 minutes to get the bulk of the fire under control
- There was a large volume of stuff inside the residence which made access difficult
- no reports of occupants inside the residence
- 1 firefighter was transported to a nearby trauma center in stable condition, with heat exhaustion
- power and utilities were still active but reports that the residence is vacant
