Houston: Fire Engine Struck By DUI Driver While At DUI Crash

10.08.2019 | 12:10 AM | HOUSTON – A fire engine was struck by a suspect DUI driver while crews were on scene of another DUI crash, early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were on scene of a traffic collision involving a suspected DUI driver who had collided with a big rig on the westbound Katy Freeway near the Kirkwood off ramp around 12:10 AM.

While on scene of the first suspected DUI crash another vehicle crashed into their fire engine.

The driver, who is believed to have been driving under the influence, was placed into custody along with the initial DUI suspect.

No injuries from either the initial or secondary crash was reported.
