Houston: Fire District Chief Crashes While Responding To Fire

01.04.2019 | 7:50 PM | HOUSTON – A fire district chief was hospitalized after a crash occurred while he responded to a structure fire, Friday night.

The Houston Fire Department District Chief was responding to reports of an apartment fire when he was struck by another vehicle on the Southwest Freeway near Fountain View around 7:50 PM.

Additional units responded to the scene of the crash and found the district chief’s vehicle along with another car involved in a crash.

The district chief suffered was injured and was transported to an area hospital.

Officials were on scene investigating the cause of crash.
