Houston: Fire At Synagogue Under Investigation
11.28.2018 | 9:18 PM | HOUSTON – Authorities were investigating the cause of a fire that seriously damaged a synagogue, Wednesday night.
Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a building in the 5900 block of South Braeswood Boulevard shortly before 9:20 PM.
Crews arriving on scene located the Congregation Torah Vachesed, a local synagogue, with heavy smoke showing.
A rabbi at the synagogue had already helped to evacuate people inside allowing firefighters to immediately attack the fire.
Firefighters quickly knocked down flames but requested arson investigators due to the suspicious nature of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
