Houston: Family Rescued Amidst 3rd Alarm Fire
2.25.2018 | 2:00 AM | HOUSTON – A family, including three children and a mother, were rescued from a second-story balcony by firefighters amidst a massive 3rd alarm fire , early Sunday morning.
Firefighters responded around 2:00 AM to reports of a fire at the North Bend Apartments located in the 14100 block of Cornerstone Village Drive.
Firefighters arriving on scene found the medium-sized apartment complex well involved with fire. A family on a second-story balcony flagged down firefighters who promptly initiated rescue efforts.
The family, including a mother and several minor children, were whisked to safety by firefighters using a ladder.
Further search revealed all other occupants of the apartment made it out safely.
Knockdown was achieved hours later and the building was considered a total loss.
