Houston: DUI Crash Into Patrol Car Injures Deputy
12.19.2018 | 2:00 AM | HOUSTON – A deputy was injured after being rear-ended in what is suspected to be a DUI, Wednesday morning.
The deputy was driving a marked Ford Crown Victoria patrol vehicle and stopped at the intersection of North Sheperd and Crosstimbers around 2:00 AM when a Jeep SUV rear-ended him.
The force of the crash injured the deputy who was transported to an area hospital by firefighter paramedics.
Other deputies arriving on scene detained the female driver of the Jeep an transported her away from the scene pending a DUI investigation.
The roadway was blocked for nearly an hour while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
