Houston: Disabled Vehicle Burns On Freeway

11.23.2018 | 11:30 PM | HOUSTON – A disabled vehicle caught fire while parked on the side of a freeway, Friday night.

Firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the southbound I-45 near Little York Road around 11:30 PM.

Crews arriving on scene found a vehicle with heavy fire coming from the engine compartment. Firefighters attacked the blaze and quickly doused the flames.

The vehicle’s driver was not initially on scene but returned shortly after.

It was unclear what caused the fire and why the driver had left the vehicle.
