Houston: Deputy Injured In Freeway Crash
01.03.2019 | 12:00 AM | HOUSTON – A deputy was injured after a freeway crash involving another driver, early Thursday morning.
A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy radioed for assistance after being involved in a crash on the eastbound Beltway around Mesa Road shortly after midnight.
Additional units responding on scene located a female deputy in a Ford Taurus patrol vehicle along with an SUV.
The deputy involved in the crash advised that the SUV struck her vehicle while veering across lanes to make the Mesa Road exit.
Firefighter paramedics transported the deputy to an area hospital for evaluation.
The SUV driver was not injured but was being held at the scene while police continued their investigation.
