Houston: Crash Into Super 8 Hotel Leaves Two Dead
05.25.2020 | 1:45 AM | HOUSTON – Two people were dead after a vehicle lost control and overturned before becoming lodged into the side of a Super 8 Hotel and prompting evacuations, early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a structure at the Super 8 Hotel located in the 16200 block of North Freeway around 1:45 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a single vehicle that had overturned before crashing into the hotel and was beginning to catch fire.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and determined that two people were deceased as a result of the crash.
Occupants from the hotel were seen being evacuated while crews evaluated the structural integrity of the building.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
