Houston: Clerk Shoots Two Suspects, Kills One During Failed Robbery

05.06.2020 | 1:30 AM | HOUSTON – A gas station clerk shot and killed one of four men in a failed robbery attempt, early Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a robbery with shots fired at the Exxon Gas Station located at 4 Maxey Road around 1:30 AM.

Units arriving on scene learned that a group of two of four men had forced their way into the locked convenience store and demanded cash from the clerk.

Fearing for his life the clerk opened fire, striking the two robbery suspects inside.

One suspect died on scene while the other stumbled off with the remaining suspects standing guard outside the store.

Officers located shooting victim just a few blocks away but authorities would not confirm if the victim was the second suspect.

Security cameras inside the store caught the confrontation on camera and were being reviewed by law enforcement.

A description of the remaining suspects was not immediately available.
