Houston: Car Fire Slows Freeway Traffic
01.03.2019 | 9:40 PM | HOUSTON – Freeway traffic came to a slow as firefighters battled a car fire, Thursday night.
Firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the Southwest Freeway near the Beltway around 9:40 PM.
Crews arriving on scene found a single vehicle engulfed in flames and began efforts to attack the blaze.
Within 5 minutes crews had knockdown of the fire that brought traffic to a slow.
Several lanes were closed while firefighters worked to conduct overhaul on the fire.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
