Houston: 2-Alarm Fire Destroys Apartment Building
07.13.2020 | 3:26 AM | HOUSTON – A second-alarm fire ripped through an apartment building, early Monday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning at the Capewood Apartments located in the 4300 block of Aldine Mail Route Road around 3:26 AM.
Units arriving on scene located a two-story apartment building with a heavy fire load showing.
Firefighters evacuated the building while battling the blaze that was upgraded to a two-alarm fire.
It took about an hour to extinguish the bulk of the fire.
Many units were damaged or destroyed causing residents to be displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
